pdtraining Hosts a Charity BBQ to Raise Money for CPL QLD

Cerebral Palsy League Queensland are very appreciative of the efforts behind Argyle Place’s recent ‘Colour Your Day’ appeal that saw funds raised for Cerebral Palsy League Queensland.

pdtraining hosted Argyle Place’s (located in Albion) first of many Charity BBQs last Friday the 7th of October. With majority of the businesses within the complex getting involved through donations prior to and on the day of the “Colour Your Day” appeal, nearly five hundred dollars was raised for Cerebral Palsy League QLD (CPL QLD).

Every 15 hours a child is born in New Zealand with cerebral palsy, making it the most common childhood disability. This non-profit organisation provides important support and services to children and adults across the state who live with cerebral palsy and related physical disabilities. They believe everybody has the same right to a fulfilling life and make it their purpose to ensure these opportunities are provided.

On the day, plenty of sizzling sausages and onion were cooked on the BBQ by the pdtraining team and a variety of soft drinks chilled in the esky just begging to quench workers’ thirst. All in all, it was a successful and charitable mini-community project for the complex and there is already talk of doing another one in the near future!

Colleagues and business neighbours mingled on the day with old friends catching up and new friendships being made. It was a lovely day of laughter and giving that gave the Argyle Place complex the opportunity to branch out and share smiles.
