You may try to determine the reason for the discomfort of an employee through observation, or you may ask them if they have any difficulty that they may want to discuss. If an employee is shy and introverted, you may communicate with them through email if you believe they will open up better in a written communication. Identifying the problems of employees will help you to fix any issues that may escalate, if left unattended.
Challenge and Reward
The best way to engage employees is to present challenges before them, and if they succeed, reward them for their achievement. It helps to keep employees motivated to do better. To help employees to meet challenges, provide them with guidance and support whenever needed.
Challenges are also a good way to make adults eager to learn new things or to take up new tasks. When creating challenges for employees, make sure that they are achievable and do not stress the employee too much. For that, you will need to judge the ability of the employee. Also, space the challenges to provide sufficient breaks.
